What your website is doing to your name

32 years of reputation. None of it is on your site.

You have 4.6 stars from 69 people, an A+ from the Better Business Bureau, and 96% of surveyed customers calling you superior. What Google prints under your name is "Just another Ziplocal Sites 2 Sites site".

Everything below is shown before it is explained, and all of it is something you can check yourself in about a minute. Two things your site already gets right are at the bottom. Your site measured August 30, 2026, this one August 31, 2026.

Start by just looking at them

Yours on the left, the replacement on the right. Neither is a picture. Both are loading right now, on this connection, starting at the same instant. Since the morning of August 31 the left-hand side comes up empty, because there is nothing at your address to load. That is finding 01, and it is not a fault in this page.

Your site today waiting

silverstarmotorsvienna.com

The replacement waiting

silverstar.luciapps.com

About that clock. It is the time until each page reports it has finished loading, on whatever connection you are on. It moves between attempts, which is why there is a button. The replacement has a real unfair advantage here, because this page is served from the same place so its connection is already open, worth roughly a fifth of a second. Disclosed rather than banked.

The race is off for now. A site that is not there cannot be timed, so the left-hand clock will sit on an error rather than post a fast time and flatter the comparison. Yours was measured on August 30, 2026, the last day it answered and so the last day it ever can be. This one on August 31, 2026. Both in a controlled browser with the cache emptied and neither given a head start: 1,315 KB in 45 pieces against 381 KB in 9. A quarter of yours was one oversized copy of the Mercedes star. Those numbers stand until your domain is back and they can be taken again.

What the stopwatch actually read, while it still loaded

1.5sbest 27sworst

Watched on this stopwatch over repeated loads in the days before your site went down. Not a laboratory number and not offered as one: real readings, on a real connection, and nobody can take them again now.

The spread is the point, not the 27 seconds. A site that is sometimes quick and sometimes unusable is exactly the kind nobody complains about. The times you opened it yourself it was probably fine, so there was never anything to fix. The customer who got the slow one did not call to tell you. He went somewhere else, and you never found out he existed.

Consistent with the one figure that was taken properly: 1,315 KB across 45 separate pieces is the shape that produces this. The replacement is 381 KB in 9, and its slow day and its fast day are close together, which matters more than either number.

Shown, then explained

7 things that are wrong, and why each one matters

01

Your domain has expired. Your website is not on the internet.

Type your own address into your phone. Do this one first.

What your address served 9:04 that morning
A dark placeholder page at silverstarmotorsvienna.com. Top right, a Network Solutions
logo above the words silverstarmotorsvienna dot com has expired, with links reading Renew
Now and Backorder Domain. In the middle, a list of paid links headed Related Searches:
Luxury Car Brands, Luxury European Car Dealership, Nice Luxury Cars, Luxury Luxury Car,
        Top Luxury Car Models.
Not a mock-up. That is the page your own address handed back, with your registrar saying it has expired, an offer to let somebody else backorder the name, and paid links to luxury European car dealerships sitting where your shop used to be. By August 31, 2026, 9:20 in the morning even that had gone, replaced by a one-line error.
Your registrar record The name servers were switched on August 31 at 4:07 in the morning to NS1.PENDINGRENEWALDELETION.COM. That is the holding address Register.com moves a domain to when it has not been renewed.
Where your address points 208.91.197.132, a parking server. Nothing of yours is on it.
The secure address Failed 8 times out of 8. Anyone with your site bookmarked, and every link Google holds, uses that address. When it connects at all it offers a certificate made out to testexample, so the browser stops the visitor with a full-page security warning.
The plain address 122 bytes, 12 times out of 12: "Error. Page cannot be displayed. Please contact your service provider for more details."
The day before Your real site answered normally, all 1,315 KB of it. This happened overnight.

What is wrong

Your domain name lapsed. Everything else on this page describes a website that needs replacing. This one says there is nothing at your address at all: not a slow site, not an ugly site, nothing. Every card, every invoice, every Google listing and every neighbor who passes your name along now points at a placeholder.

Why it matters to you

Renew it today, whatever else you decide about any of this. A lapsed name does not sit and wait. It goes through a grace period, then a redemption period that costs many times the renewal, and then it is sold to whoever wants it. Your registrar is already advertising a Backorder Domain link on your own page. Thirty-two years of people telling each other your name is attached to that address, and it is the one thing here that money cannot get back once it is gone.

What to do about it, today

This is not a thing to buy from anybody. It is a bill, and it is almost certainly small.

Who to call Register.com, part of Network Solutions, at the number on your billing paperwork. The domain is in their account, not Ziplocal's.
What to say "My domain silverstarmotorsvienna.com has expired and I want to renew it today." Ask them to confirm the expiry date afterwards.
What to watch for If the card on the account is an old one, that is probably the whole story. The renewal notices would have gone to whatever email address is on that account, which may be one nobody reads.
What it does not fix Renewing brings the name back. What comes back with it is the same site this page is about. That part is a separate conversation and it can wait.
Checked, not guessed. Every figure above came from running the checks against your live address on August 31, 2026, 9:20 in the morning. Anyone you trust can repeat them in a minute, and I would rather you had somebody do exactly that than take my word for it.

What is wrong

"Just another Ziplocal Sites 2 Sites site" is text that came with the software and nobody ever replaced. It has been the headline on your search result for years.

Why it matters to you

Somebody has just been told about you by a neighbor and they look you up before they call. That sentence is the first thing about your shop they read. Thirty-two years of work, and the line under your name was written by a template.

03

The biggest words on your home page misspell Mercedes

Open your site. It is the headline, in letters an inch tall.

Your home page headline, as it appears today

The Ultimate Car Care For Your Mercedez-Benz

Element the page's <h1>, the largest text on it Rendered at 70 pixels on a desktop screen Occurrences once, and it is the first line anyone reads

What is wrong

The marque you have worked on exclusively for thirty-two years is spelled with a Z, in the largest text on your website, above the fold, on the home page.

Why it matters to you

Of everything on this list, this is the one a customer notices without knowing anything about websites. A Mercedes owner reads that headline and concludes, fairly, that whoever made this page had never heard of the car. It is the opposite of what thirty-two years of specializing in one marque is supposed to say about you.

04

Everything you have earned is missing from your own site

Scroll your site. None of these four are on it.

4.6 stars from 69 reviewsGoogle
A+ the highest grade issuedBetter Business Bureau
96% rated you superior, of 49Washington Consumers' Checkbook
32 years at the same addresssince April 3, 1994
Not one of these appears anywhere on silverstarmotorsvienna.com. Your site shows four quotes with no last names and no dates.

What is wrong

Independent people rated you, repeatedly, over decades, and your website mentions none of it. The Mercedes shop in Fairfax puts "1,532 reviews" at the top of theirs.

Why it matters to you

This is the part that actually costs you something, and it is not customers, it is standing. You have the best record of any independent Mercedes shop near here, and the one place you control says nothing about it.

05

Four images on your home page do not load, including the main photograph

Look at the left panel above. The gray box and the empty blue squares.

Where it points silverstarmotorsvienna.zipsites2us.com/…/sites/32/…/background.jpg
Whose folder that is Not yours. You are customer 676. Folder 32 belongs to somebody else.
What that address answers with A security certificate for *.wpengine.com, which does not match, so browsers refuse the image outright.
And ignoring that 404. The file is not there either.
It is not only that one The three little icons beside Engine Repair, Transmission Repair and Factory Scheduled Maintenance are 404 as well, which is why those boxes are empty blue squares with text floating in them.

What is wrong

Your banner is meant to be a photograph of the shop with the headline over it. The darkening is there, the picture never arrives, and has not for years. Counting the three service icons, four of the images on your home page are missing.

Why it matters to you

Somebody about to hand you a ninety-thousand-dollar car is looking at an empty gray rectangle. And nobody at the company you pay every month has opened your site in long enough to notice.

06

There is no way to reach you outside shop hours

Open your site and try to contact the shop without dialing

45 hours open 123 hours with no way to reach you
Your week, 168 hours

What is wrong

Your site has no contact form of any kind. Between five o'clock Friday and eight o'clock Monday there is no way for anybody to tell you anything.

Why it matters to you

The person whose car started making a noise on Saturday calls somebody else on Monday. You never learn they existed, so this has never cost you anything you could see, which is exactly why it has never been fixed.

What happens instead

It arrives as an email. Not a login, not an app, not a page you have to remember to check. It goes to the address you already read, and it follows your day rather than interrupting it.

While you are open Monday to Friday, 8 to 5
An email headed New appointment request, showing Mike Brooks, a large tap-to-call phone number, the year model and mileage of his car, and what it is doing
It arrives straight away, the same as somebody leaving a message. Tap the number to call back.
Every other hour nights, weekends, holidays
An email headed 2 calls for this morning, listing two customers with their numbers, cars and complaints, oldest first
Held and delivered as one list at 7am, an hour before you open. Nothing arrives at nine on a Sunday night when you can do nothing about it.
These are real. Both were produced by the same code that sends them, not mocked up for this page. Every one carries the year, the model, the mileage and the complaint in the customer's own words, so you can decide whether to call back before you do. If nobody writes in overnight, no email arrives.
And when you are not there

If you take two weeks off, two weeks of calls should not sit in an inbox nobody is opening. So you can hand them to somebody else, and hand them back, without calling us to do it.

Which address Whatever you already use. Nothing is set up on silverstarmotorsvienna.com, and nothing needs to be: that domain has no mail service on it today and this does not change that.
Copies Add anybody you like, and they are copied on every request. Remove them the same way.
Out for the afternoon One button. Requests go to whoever you pick instead, and it switches itself back when the shop closes at five.
Away for a week or two Pick the first day and the last, the way you would book a hotel. It ends on its own the morning you are back.
How you get in A link at the bottom of every one of these emails. No password to keep, and nothing to sign into. Any change is emailed to whoever was on the list a minute before, so a change you did not ask for is not a quiet one.
Nothing is lost while you are away. The requests still arrive and are still recorded. The setting decides who gets interrupted, not what gets kept, so everything that came in while you were gone is waiting for you on the same page when you get back.

Your own site advertises the company that built it

Scroll to the very bottom of your home page

Your footer says"Powered by Ziplocal"
Your pages live in a system shared with hundreds of other businesses, your files under /sites/676/
Their package advertises custom forms, a blog, and unlimited monthly revisions. You have none of the three.

What is wrong

Your words and photographs are not in your possession, and the bottom of your own website is a small advertisement for somebody else.

Why it matters to you

You own the building, the tools, the name and the reputation. The one thing with your name on it that you do not own is the thing everybody looks at first.

Two things your site already gets right

Listed because a page that attacks everything is a sales flyer, and this is meant to be an inspection.

It works on a phone

Genuinely responsive. Nothing runs off the edge, checked at four screen sizes.

The text is readable

I assumed the contrast failed, measured the actual pixels, and was wrong. It passes.

Do not take my word for any of it

Show this page to whoever is sitting in your waiting room and ask which one they would have called. They are the person whose opinion actually spends money, and they have no reason to flatter either of us.
